Is your company looking to get involved in the community and help provide improved sports facilities for the residents of the North Okanagan?  Do you want your donation to help drive tourism and economic benefit to our area?

You can do both by sponsoring Funtastic. From a humble beginnings, Funtastic has grown into one of the marquee events on the sports calendar in Western Canada.  The event, started as a 55 team slo-pitch tournament (run by one of the local teams, with proceeds going to the league).  2 years later in 1987, Funtastic incorporated, was trademarked and became a registered non-profit.  The event has grown numerous times and has included everything from sailing, volleyball, and golf to slo-pitch and lawnbowling.

The event remains the sole fundraiser for the non-profit with all the proceeds from the event going towards building sports fields and enhancing sports facilities in the North Okanagan.  Over the past 23 years Funtastic has contributed over $840,000 and helped build the following:

• 13 fields (including all the fields at DND)
• 5 playgrounds (Mission Hill Park, DND playground, Graham Park, Kalview Park, Hillview School)
• Lights on Diamond #5 – DND
• $120,000 to Special Olympics
• Emergency Defibulators at the 3 Vernon Arenas
